Phil – 10 Years, 10 Employees, 10 Things

Let’s start this off with a coffee. Nothing gets done without it. Every morning, whether at work or at home you can find me getting the Keurig or coffee maker running. I’ve been drinking coffee since I was 14 years old and I can’t quit now.

My wife and kids are my number one priority and the most important thing I have to live for. My wife Kally and I have been together for 14 years. Our 2 boys, Tatum and Carter have provided us extreme joy and love since the beginning. I can attribute my personal growth and success to my family. They have shaped who I am today.

Every weekend my youngest son wakes up and is ready for multiple strips of bacon. We go through a pound of bacon every weekend. Eggs and Toast wouldn’t be the same without it.

Traveling the country and other parts of the world has given me perspective on many things in life and also an appreciation for life in the USA. My mother immigrated to the United States in the late 70’s. I’ve been on coast to coast in the US as well as Jamaica, Mexico, Canada, Aruba, and the Philippines. I always look forward to traveling.

My computer is a representation of my interest and experience in digital marketing. I first dabbled into building websites, SEO and PPC back in 2009. During that 10 years, I’ve seen many changes to the overall adoption of digital marketing and the strategies that have brought success to businesses.

Swinging a club outside in the sunshine is where I enjoy spending a little free time. I am not a great golfer by any means, but I do enjoy the game and also the time spent with friends and business associates.

When the suns out, you may see me with my aviators on. Wearing them automatically lifts my spirits. Being a Minnesota resident means that summers are short. I smile and soak up as much sun as I can.

Since the age of 12, skateboarding has been something I dedicated a lot of time too. In the summers growing up, I’d wake up eat some breakfast (bacon) and skate until dark. I even went to a skateboarding summer camp for a few years. Even though I’m getting up there in age, I still push around and my oldest son who has developed an interest himself. #ProudDad

Snowboarding is another sport I picked up in my youth. I used to teach others how to snowboard as an instructor in Kimball at Powder Ridge. Being part of the Snow/Skate culture in the St. Cloud area was a great way to keep me in shape and distracted. This is something I still do quite often in the winter. I’ve been able to pass this hobby down to my children as well.

Lastly, and probably one of the least important things I’ve added to my list is a controller. Gaming is an interest that remains a part of my life. I’m fascinated with how things have progressed in the gaming industry. I’ve had many consoles and games over the years.
