This month Gaslight Creative will be featured in a German magazine called PAGE. PAGE is a magazine for creative professionals in design, advertising and media that provides month by month updates for creation and production. The story will be about how pharmacies in Germany lack character because they are victims of corporate design. Gaslight Creative’s work with The Apothecary, a local compounding pharmacy, is referenced as inspiration.
The Apothecary came to us in need of a new name and identity to accompany a change in location. As the only compounding pharmacy in Central Minnesota, it seemed only right to keep the name simple. Alas, The Apothecary: A Compounding Pharmacy was created. The new name was paired with a vintage inspired logo designed to resemble a wood cut-out storefront sign from Colonial times, when pharmacies were, in fact, called Apothecaries. We carried this nostalgic theme through all of the company’s collateral, including the website where a hand-drawn illustration of an old-fashioned pharmacy takes center stage.
